Principal’s Message

On behalf of all staff at Jiemin Primary School, I wish you and your family members a Happy New
Year 2019! We trust that you have had a restful year-end break and we welcome Jieminites back
to school for the new academic year. We also welcome our new cohort of Primary 1 Jieminites
who have joined us this year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my predecessor, Ms Cheah Poh Lian for her
passion and dedication to bring out the best in every child and every teacher at Jiemin Primary
School. We wish her a very happy retirement. We also thank Mr Wong Wai Hon, our Vice-
Principal (Administration) who has left our school to return to the private sector. We wish him
all the best in his future endeavors.

It is an honour to be appointed Principal of Jiemin Primary school. I am excited to continue the
good work of Ms Cheah and all staff at Jiemin Primary to pursue our mission of providing our
pupils with a balanced and well-rounded education, inculcating in them sound moral and social
values and developing them to their fullest potential. We strive to provide all Jieminites with
rich opportunities to learn and develop holistically. I am most proud of all my colleagues at
Jiemin Primary who have dedicated themselves to ignite the passion of learning in our
Jieminites.

I would also want to take this opportunity to introduce our new Vice-Principal, Ms Nur Fatimah
who joined us in December 2018. Ms Nur Fatimah is an experienced Vice-Principal who was
previously from Wellington Primary School.

Together with school leadership team of myself, Ms Nur Fatimah and Mrs Hee-Ho Jun-Lynn ,
and all staff of Jiemin Primary, we will strive to achieve our vision of Jieminites being `Global
Learners, Discerning Citizens’ with support from parents, community partners, stakeholders and
our pupils.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead and your continued support.

Strive to Succeed.

Mr Andy Mickey Choong
Principal
