CCE lessons
CCE Form Teacher Guidance Period - CCE (FTGP)
CCE (FTGP) lessons, taught by all Form Teachers and Co-Form Teachers, aim to explicitly develop students' social-emotional competencies. These foundational skills at the Primary levels prepare students for more complex discussions in Secondary school and beyond. CCE (FTGP) also covers topics that develop citizenship dispositions, fostering inter-ethnic understanding and cultural appreciation within diverse classrooms. This dedicated time allows teachers to connect with students and build relationships through discussions and effective teaching methods.
Additionally, Sexuality Education (SEd) is integrated into CCE (FTGP) for Primary 5 and 6. The CCE curriculum also provides time for planning and reflecting on Values in Action (VIA) projects and incorporates learning related to the four National Education (NE) Commemorative Days: Total Defence Day, International Friendship Day, Racial Harmony Day, and National Day.

CCE Mother Tongue Language - CCE (MTL)
CCE (MTL) lessons are taught in the Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) - Chinese, Malay, and Tamil - as these languages are rich in cultural content and serve as meaningful platforms to impart values.
Teachers use cultural stories, idioms, proverbs, and songs unique to each language to help students learn moral values and develop empathy. These resources make values more relatable and accessible, allowing students to connect with the experiences of the characters and reflect on their own actions and decisions.
Cultural stories are especially powerful as they present values within familiar cultural contexts, while also fostering a deeper understanding of one’s heritage. These stories often explore important themes such as identity, relationships, and choices, helping students appreciate their own culture and cultivate respect for others.
Programme for Active Learning (PAL)
The Programme for Active Learning (PAL) is a key part of the curriculum for all Primary 1 and 2 students, offering hands-on, experiential learning across four domains: Sports & Games, Outdoor Education, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts. It is designed to spark new interests, build character, and strengthen social-emotional competencies. PAL is guided by five key features: an emphasis on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and values, experiential learning, creative and engaging approaches, opportunities for creation, and fun, enjoyable experiences.
